Diagnosis

When you come in for a new comprehensive exam, or for a recall periodic exam, we want to ensure we cover all our bases.We gather information in a variety of ways. We take digital x-rays, photographs, and do a periodontal pocket charting to be able to assess your oral health.We may use the Diagnodent to help us detect decay and the Tek-scan (or Tscan) to analyze your bite.We will perform an extraoral head and neck exam, and do a thorough oral cancer screening.We will put all this information together and perform a clinical intraoral exam, checking each tooth and current restoration.
